You heard of being a “day late,” well, in this case, I was a day early. I knew there was a special moon that month, I had heard something about it, but didn’t investigate the details. While we were out and about, I spotted this beauty and proceeded to photograph it. It wasn’t until two days later (too late to pursue) that I learned the facts:”On Saturday 19th March 2011, the moon reached perigee – the point in its orbit at which it is closest to the Earth. It is known as a Supermoon.” I wonder how much bigger it actually was…
