I took these on this date in 2009. The sunsets in Santa Monica are truly wonderful and the Malibu Hills make an interesting background. In this instance, the silhouettes of the spectators add interesting and engaging graphic elements to the composition.
Looking at these photographs reminds me of visiting friends in Santa Monica and the serenity I felt watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The fresh ocean smell, the breeze and the people.
