Raindrops on Rosebush Sprout

My Backyard, Philadelphia, PA - March 22, 2010

Several years ago, after our first Spring rain in Philadelphia. I noticed that our rose bushes were starting to sprout. The addition of the rain drops made it too inviting to pass up the opportunity to shoot some macro photography. I shot several of the rose bush and ivy (more to come).Technical note: I hand-hold these shots and use an off-camera flash (usually to the side or underneath). The flash freezes any motion (by me or the subject) and allows maximum depth of field. I set my Nikon D300 to aperture preferred and use a small aperture. If anyone needs a less technical explanation, let me know.
